Connie Perez-Andreesen

Connie, a local accountant and mother with a long history of public service and community involvement, was raised in a hardworking family that instilled in her the value of education. She is passionate about giving back to the community that shaped her.

Connie has served on the Bakersfield College Foundation and is a regional council member for B3K Prosperity. Her focus has always been on creating positive change for students and the broader community. She is committed to supporting educational initiatives that open doors for future generations, whether through her professional work or volunteer efforts.

As a former student of both Bakersfield College and Porterville Community College, Connie has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing today’s students. Her mission as a candidate for KCCD Trustee is clear: to ensure that every student has access to the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.

Connie Perez-Andreesen envisions a Kern Community College District where every student, regardless of background, has the opportunity to thrive. As a former student of KCCD, she understands the value of affordable education and is dedicated to making sure it remains accessible to all.

  • Expanding Opportunities: Connie will work to increase pathways to success, from academic programs that support students aiming for a four-year degree to workforce training that prepares students for immediate job opportunities.

  • Workforce Development: She prioritizes expanding workforce training programs that address the local economy's needs, ensuring students and adult learners alike have the skills to compete for quality jobs.

  • Affordability & Access: Connie is committed to keeping education affordable and debt-free. She will fight for policies that ensure KCCD remains a place of opportunity for students facing financial and social barriers.

Connie’s vision is about creating a district where education leads to real opportunities, financial security, and lifelong success for every student.
